Having raised her daughters, Ella and Mia, on her own, Lisa always held family close—and Ava became a symbol of that bond. When they lost their young cat Ira earlier in the year and Ava began grieving—losing weight and fur—Lisa was struck by the fleeting nature of life and how easily memories fade if not preserved. She realised she had very few photos of Ira and didn’t want to make the same mistake with Ava.
