CLIFF, ASH & ORION

For Cliff, the photographic experience was about capturing the unwavering devotion and love he shares with his two Black Labs, Ash and Orion — a bond that has profoundly shaped his life. As an ex-military man who has faced the unique challenges that serving ones country brings the dogs are more than companions; they are guardians of his wellbeing, attuned to his moods, providing comfort when he’s having a difficult day, and filling his life with consistent affection. The session was his way of celebrating that bond, and of creating something tangible to remind him every day of the support, loyalty, and joy these Ash and Orion bring into his life.

Ash and Orion also symbolize the harmony and love of their blended family. Orion, originally Cliff’s stepson’s dog, became a shared family companion when Cliff and Naz adopted him, ensuring he could be part of their daily lives in London. Together with Ash, the dogs have become central figures in the family, offering emotional stability, laughter, and companionship in a household that balances demanding careers and children from previous relationships. The photographic experience was a way to capture that quiet, yet powerful, connection — a daily reminder that love and devotion can anchor a life, even amidst stress and distance.
